Ghana Water Company Limited has issued a release to create the awareness of the general public that provision of free water to its citizens will come to an end on 31st of December.
GWLC had to do so by the directive of the president H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo – Addo after had Ghana recorded cases of Covid-19.
The government of Ghana made available this interventional plan after the release of Ghanaians from the lockdown.
Mr. Stanley Martey – Chief Manager, PR & Communication GWCL in an interview on Angle TV confirmed that the provision of free water end on December 31.
Again, Stanley said that GWCL can only proceed with its provision of free water by being given the go ahead from the giver. He further added that GWCL is just a suppler and is ready to take directives from the President and his government.
Should we be directed to continue providing free water to Ghanaians, why not? we are ready to do so, he said.
