2019 CAF Champions League runner up FC Zamalek have secured qualifications to the next round of the CAF Champions League after Chad side Gazelle FC refuse to turn up for the second leg.
The first leg was scheduled to take place in December 22nd, 2020 with the second leg coming on today Tuesday January 5, 2021. Both games where supposed were to be played in Egypt.
The Chadian side decided not to play the first leg game scheduled in Egypt after being block to do so by the Chadian Sports Minster. As a result Gazelle FC didn’t show up for the second leg game and the Whites have been awarded with 3 goals and they have automatically secured qualification for the next round of games.
The 2019 runner up’s will now wait the next draw to determine their opponents for the next round as they look to win back their lost title.
