Chairman of the Ghana League clubs Association , Mr. Cudjoe Fianoo has reiterated the need for a serious constitutional review to ensure clubs in the lower tier leagues are given representation on the executive body of the Association.
In making known his objectives for the Association for the upcoming election , Mr Fianoo said the composition of the GHALCA executives does not give true representation of all clubs including those playing in the lower tier leagues.
“The composition of the current executives does not include all the Football groups, its tilted towards premier league, and one of my reform programs will be to includes all the lower tier leagues.” Mr Fianoo told Asempa FM.
“If you take say those contesting for executives today, you realize its premier league biased, and if care is not taken, one day we shall have an entirely Premier league executive on the, which will not truely speak to the isses at Ghalca.”
He believes the inclusion of clubs from the lower tier leagues will enhance the activities of GHALCA in the future.
The date for the GHALCA election is set for Thursday January 21 in Accra.
