Two Units teachers quarters in Teberebie that was badly damaged for almost a decade was officially handed over to the chief and people of Teberebie community today, Friday in a brief ceremony.

The Bensat Company Limited spent GHc 32,000 to rehabilitate the teachers quarters.

Addressing the ceremony, the Managing director of Bensat Company Limited, Mr. Benjamin Appiah described his company as small but with an extra-ordinarily big heart, which is good of humanity and particularly a heart for development aspirations of communities within their operation area.

According to Mr. Appiah, the intervention was borne out of fulfilling a mission as a community based and community oriented company that is committed to mitigating the social cost of their operations in the communities such as Teberebie. The objective for the intervention is to collaborate with other stakeholders to develop and promote the human capacity of the communities through education, skills development and self employment initiatives.

” Bensat Company Limited views this project as a start up and is hoping that many more of such intervention will be rolled out in the coming years to reflect our mission and ensure that we grow our communities. This we hope to achieve with the support of the chiefs and people of our host communities” he added.

Gracing the ceremony were the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Benjamin Kessie, Assembly member for Teberebie, Teacher Obour, Director of Ghana education service, the senior manager, sustainable, AngloGold Ashanti Iduaprime mine and headmistress of Teberebie Basic school.
