Arsenal and Bayern Munich target Ghanaian International Tariq Lamptey has signed a new long-term contract with Brighton And Hove Albion committing his future to the club.
The former Chelsea academy prospect joined the Seagulls in the summer transfer window for £4m which has proven to be the biggest bargain for Brighton over recent transfers based on the incredible performances from the fullback.
Despite interests from fellow league compatriot Arsenal, Bayern Munich and la liga giants Atletico Madrid, the Seagulls have managed to tie down their talent until 2025.
The former England U19 star have been rewarded with a significant increase in Salary by the south coast side after week in week out burst of marvellous performance.
Coach Garry Porter expressed his happiness in the contract extension of Tariq Lamptey;

“We knew his potential when we signed him a year ago and he proved us right with his marvellous performance week in week out.
“He has been a professional model and talent who works extraordinary hard. He is a humble lad and a team player who fits in everything we want in our team.

Lamptey featured for the Seagulls 19 times in all competitions since joining Brighton in the January transfer window and has also been a key figure in England U21 team.
He has registered four assists so far and scored his first goal of the season in Brighton’s 2-1 lost to Tottenham Hotspurs.
